Joovy has introduced a silicone pacifier, the Silinoogie, designed for newborns. The
pacifier supports the natural sucking reflex, aiding in the transition between nursing and
bottle feeding, and is offered in a night-glow model, making it easier to see in the dark.
The pacifier’s one-piece exterior is made of silicone, and officials for the Dallas-based
company say it is resistant to absorbing tastes, odors or stickiness and is BPS-, BPA-,
latex- and phthalate-free. The color is achieved with a PPSU insert, which is a transparent, durable material which is used in many medical and dental devices. Colors include

Oral-B debuted the Oral-B GENIUS intelligent brushing
system. The new Oral-B GENIUS features position detection technology that combines motion sensors with
video recognition that links to the back camera of the

the Position-Detection Technology in
Oral-B GENIUS tracks brush position,
and shows the user how to brush all
zones in the mouth equally.
Oral-B proprietary technology
cleans tooth by tooth and its round
brush head reaches areas that are
often difficult to reach, say com-
pany officials. Triple Pressure Sensor
B’s Professional Timer ensures that each quadrant of the
mouth is brushed for 30 seconds, to reach the dental
professional-recommended two minute brushing ses-
sion. The product also comes with a smart travel case,
smartphone holder, lithium and ion battery.

HENKEL TO ACQUIRE SUN
Henkel, a global company with a local
presence in Rocky Hill, Conn., signed an
agreement to acquire all shares in the
laundry and home care company The Sun
Products Corp., based in Wilton, Conn.
Sun Products has a portfolio of laundry
care brands including all and Sun as well
as the fabric conditioner Snuggle. Sun also
develops and manufactures laundry brands for retailers in North America.
“Sun Products will complement and strengthen our existing laundry and home care
portfolio with well-established and successful brands in North America,” says Bruno
Piacenza, executive vice president responsible for Henkel’s laundry and home care
business. “The Sun Products brands will enable us to further leverage Henkel’s innovation leadership and increase our relevance to trading partners in North America.”
